Was recently in Anchorage and was able to get to Lake Hood a bit... Completely lucked out and had some amazing fall weather up there. Enjoy..

Took this while coming into the south ramp area via helicopter.. It's fairly blurry, as it was a last moment thought / shot. Not to mention, the windows of the helicopter were fairly scratched..

#3 should be hanging on a wall somewhere! That picture is downright awesome!

Very Nice!! I find #6 very appealing. #7 made me wonder how fast you ducked when he stopped.

#3 is cool. I hate pics at lake hood, it really isn't to great background wise. If you go out to the mat-su valley and shoot at the lakes out there, the plane traffic is still heavy and the around lake scenery at most the lakes is top notch. If you come back to anchorage try to get out of town!

#3 is one of the best float-plane shots I've seen.

Who's Tri-Jet is that?

wow what an amazing set of images. I need to cash in some miles and get up to Alaska, it's a spotters heaven up there.

Great series & like the others I found that # 3 caught my eye instantly due to the lighting.

Looks like an Eva Air Cargo to me.

Great shot, I have to say #1 is my fave :)

thanks everyone! can't wait to get back up there in November.. however I don't think I'll see that kind of weather then.. D'oh!

And I wish I could have got out of anchorage more.. Was fairly limited due to being on call for work. Hopefully I'll be able to take some time off next spring and get up there for a few days and explore the area more.. :)
