I have been admiring with envy all of the great photos posted. I've been reading this site for a long time but never had the courage to post. I look forward hear your critique and tips for improving.

Welcome! This is a nice S curve with nice colors. I would apply a graduated filter on the sky to bring up a little more detail and color there.

Welcome to the POTN and Critique Corner.

It needs something to separate it from the other 50,000 pictures taken that day that were just like it. A hiker walking on the shoulder with rucksack and walking stick would do wonders for the picture.

Nice shot, I like the colors. Is it me or is the focus a little soft?

Very pretty image with very nice composition. I agree with Bob about the need for a foreground object of interest -- something between the viewer and the yellow steep grade sign at the first bend -- like a moose crossing the road or a hiker as Bob suggested.

As far as I can tell, the image is tack sharp, but maybe it is just my monitor. :)

I like the curve of the road and the color. The sky is flat in terms of visual interest. I view the road as the subject and agree that a few bicyclists, a hiker, or some other additional subject on the road would continue to build interest.

thanks for posting.
Don't feel like you have to have a good shot to post here....in fact, posting shots you've taken that are not as you anticipated is a good way to learn and improve.
