Frames are unnecessary in this forum.

Frames cannot improve on a bad picture, but they can ruin a good picture.

Good job on the bird, but something looks wrong with the beak - probably an artifact of the jpg compression.

I agree...losing the framing would greatly help. Overall the bird came out well with the black and white conversion.

Forget the frame nay-sayers....sometimes they work, sometimes they dont but i dont think this is a good example of ruining a photo with one.

I dont particularly like the black and white..it kind of creates an uninteresting photo for me. The sharpness, exposure and composition look good though.


Nobody cares about your gear list...

The eye is not the sharpest; the focus is towards the beak. It seems a little weird to photograph a bird from above. It would be nicer if you would have taken the pic at its level. I find the background too distracting. I don't care about the frame.
