Tough loss today at the middle school league. But then again, I had fun! After making my daughter feel better, I decided to see how the 300 2.8 made out. After all, its all practice for me! Here are two from today at my daughters game. The first was not my daughter, but I liked the shot. The second was the coach's talk after trailing 0-4 at the halftime break.

Thanks for looking!

Adam

Ya. I thought that might be a good frame of reference. Better?

I do love it. It helps me take some awesome shots. But there is a side to it that is frustrating. It was my first prime. And despite having it for a year it remains a challange to position myself further back to not cut off feet and body parts. While I love the reach, power and image quality, I sometimes miss the ability to adjust focal length like on the 70-200 2.8 with the 1.4 extender. But as the kids get older and I am relegated further back from the field, i suspect this will be less of a problem.

From your gear list, you have enough to take a second body/lens for closer shots.

Love the new crop. shame those people are hanging there. As for the 300, yep, it's a new style once you become adjusted to the 70-200. Many people like the 1.4 on a 70-200. For my taste, I only use the 1.4 with the primes. that maybe a bogus rule to work by, i live by it.

wife with lens ... come on!! :)

enjoyed .. looking forward to more.
