Every year, the local girls play against their high school hockey (not all play hockey obviously but a good number do, and those that don't play together all summer on soccer traveling teams) teammates/friends (a 3 school co-op) in soccer, twice in the regular season and usually in the section semi-finals or championship game. This year was the championship. Other than a 4-1 victory on our field the last 11 matches including tonight have ended up either 1 goal games or ties, most in OT or shootouts.

The game started at 5 and went into dusk and stupid me wasn't paying attention grabbing the Energizer Lithium batteries at Wal-Mart, I grabbed AAA instead of AA so it's all stadium lights.

I may have softened this winning goal sequence a bit too much in neat image but it was getting to the point of too dark to shoot without flash... it was a 40 yard sprint a few minutes after the game was tied.

It would have been nice to focus the goalkeeper but oops!

This is the view the fans get to watch as the game proceeds....that's a storm siren in the middle of the sunset.
