I've been playing around with Lightroom 3 Beta tonight, and it's a huge improvement over 2.5 which I own. Both were processed with LR3.

This guy was hanging out in the Lolo National Forest, right before a snowstorm sent me packing from Montana. Really beautiful part of the country, highly recommended, and as usual I was the only person there. Can't beat that.

Beautiful shots of these great looking animals. That first one looks too good, no marks or chips on the horns. Must not be getting into any fights for the girls...heh..heh. One I posted a few weeks ago was all scarred up. They sure do pose nicely...great work!

Love the first shot but dang, they got creepy looking eyes. :)

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

Thx. You are right, the first one is pretty clean. They seemed like a fairly mellow herd. They were deep in the forest, but with numerous cliffs all around them.

:D Yes they are a bit strange...but I think they look much better in person, like little suns.

Great shots. Did you use the 300 f/4 L IS with extender to reach these guys?

These were with the 300 prime bare. The shutter speeds were too low for 5.6, which is exactly why I got this lens :) No tripod or monpod was used.
