Has anyone had any experience with combining spiderlites (continuous) with off camera flash?

Maybe you could gel your flash to match the color temperature of the continuous light source? Strobe lights will likely overpower the continuous light source even on low power settings. You may be able to find a decent balance with experimentation. All in all, it will present a series of issues that will need to be worked out (if they can be).

There would be a variance, but I'm not sure if it's any more significant than the same variance you get between small flash and price point monolights. This space for rent.

Mixing continuous with strobes isn't a great idea and finding a balance for the continuous contribution as well as a white balance is going to more trouble than it's worth. Robert
