Nice shots, well done. I hate zoo shots that are obviously zoo shots. (ie. fences/bars in the background, collars/halters/tags on the animals etc.) Love the baby in the tree.

Definitely a Wall Hanger. Also liking the Lighting on the Tiger. I gotta get to the Detroit Zoo, sometime. Just a shame its 400 miles away ![]() Ha, nah, it's really not worth it. I REALLY had to earn these shots, I've been to several other zoos that have been much more enjoyable overall. Green_Tea wrote in post #8895941 Nice shots, well done. Do you reckon the 70-200 a better bet for zoo photos than the 100-400? Well I think I can pretty confidently say that all my pictures I take at zoos are 100mm or greater, and lots of times I wish I had more, so I definitely think that focal length would be ideal, but of course you'd have to give up the 2.8, a personal preference. 1DXII, 3x 1DX, 5DSR, 1DIII, 1DsII, 6D, 7D, 50D, 30D, Rebel XT; 12-24, 14/2.8 fisheye, 20/1.4, 17-40/4L, 24-70/2.8L, 18-50/2.8, 3x 70-200/2.8 IS, 24-105L, 24-70/2.8L, 50/1.8II, 28-135IS, 85/1.2L, 135/1.8, 200/1.8L, 120-300/2.8 OS, 300/2.8L
