I guess you guys aren't as excited as I was to use one of canon's rarest lenses. Lol.

Actualy could not care less. If it is something I could never own, there is no point in getting excited about it. $120,000 is a bit expensive to even worry about.

By the way Lens Coat has a few different patterns of cover kits for it for $599.

You have a price or pictures on this lens?

B&H has it on their website off and on. Currently it is not on the site. But if you go the the video section and search "1200mm f/5.6L EF" you can see a video of it in action.

To each his own I guess. Still thought it was cool. Much like someone driving a lambo that they'll never own...

O cool it definatley is!! But you mentioned being "excited" that is two entirely different things. I would have stood in line to play with it, just to say I have used it. However I would not have realy been excited to do so.

Now that I think about it, I guess excited was not the word to use. Not all that exciting...you are certainly right. Just cool.

its not rare, theres one for sale. Everyone knows that.

Yes, we know there is one for sale. But it indeed is a rare lens. If I remember right there was only like 9 made. So yeah it is rare.

I've never seen one of these up-close. A tip of the hat to anyone who has used one. :)

Go to B&H in NY! Most of the time, they have this lens up for display ^^

One of these sold at an auction last week for $580 000. A new record price paid for a lens.
