Just downloaded and it's installing now. I hadn't seen the ghosting problem, but I haven't found too many birds willing to fly in my presence since I got the 7D either!

Firmware 1.1.0 which addresses this issue is now on Canon's USA webpage (external link).

This has been from what I have gathered a problem that is only effecting a small number of cameras under the right conditions. But it seems to have been addressed by Canon so just install the firmware update and this should solve the problem if it is a problem with your camera.
In todays technology it keeps getting harder to find every issue on pre production cameras since only a small number of photographers test the units. Once they hit the mass population people end up using them in so many ways that some Issues are going to pop up. At least with Canon they are very quick to work on an issue to resolve it.


Everyone has a photographic memory. Some are just out of film.:lol:

I was never able to reproduce the issue but I have upgraded to the latest firm ware and the camera is working as well as before.
