It was a fairly warm day today here in Houston and that gave the Butterflies and Bees and opportunity to stretch their wings and fly around. All are from my backyard and with the 7D.

Comments and suggestions appreciated.

I love the colors in these...but is it me or do they appear a tad soft?

I have same question that I asked in another forum. Maybe you or someone else can offer some ideas. I shoot with the 7D and process in Lightroom. For posts I do on the forums, I export them using the LR2/Mogrify plugin. So I export the image to my desktop. It looks the same as in Lightroom. However, once I upload to the forum, the shots appear softer, and the colors significantly muted.

So now I'm stuck on what went wrong. Is it Lightroom with just the beta profile, is it something in the Mogrify plugin, or is it something that transpires in the uploading to the forum.

I could really use some advice or thoughts.

There is one other area I'm guestioning but have that further down my list. My question is do my lenses need to be microadjusted. Since I'm not real clear on how to do that I debating about doing that with this lens align pro thing I bought, or should I just send it in to Canon.

Can any others offer any thoughts? I could really use some guidance

thanks

Great images. Don't send your camera or lenses in to Canon, unless you have first tried to microadjust. They will only make sure they're within normal limits. They will not optimize your gear to work together.

hi there...

I have just moved into a house with a very neglected garden and we are making plans for what to plant for next summer. I want to plant lavender, buddlia and lavateria (have already put the lavender plants in) but is there anything else that will attract lots of butterflies and bees?

lots of things really, but I'd need to know in what part of the country you life to give the best recommendations. I mention several that I use on my blog www.butterfliesandwildnerness.com (external link). Where ever you may live, you're going to need host plants (plants that the Butterflies lay their eggs on), and nectar plants.
