I just picked up the Powershot SX20 IS so there are a few things to learn as I have a few options now. I have been lurking and reading some of the newb articles and there is some great info out there.

However, if you're looking to learn the basics photography in general (in a way that will apply to any camera) you should check out Ben's Newbie Guide...it's a great read for someone starting out! I did and it is great info... I even took down a few notes.
