I am working on a project for a portable ipod dock. This is the kind of thing that you could take with on a location shoot, jam to your own personal tunes. But what sorta features should something like that have?

If you use the iphone, and were looking for a portable docking station -- what kind of features would make the most sense to you?

Well you'd want it to work on battery but I think if someone wants to put on their own music while they're out and about, it's easier just to get some portable speakers, plug them in and you're good to go.

There are already quite a few portable docks out there. What would make yours different from the others? That is really the question you have to ask yourself to determine if it is worth proceeding with the project (better mouse trap).

I have a few tricks up my sleeve..... The project is a go, budget is in place...... just wondering if there is anything that I have missed.
