The one that photo's taken with, or the one the photo's taken of? It's a horrible photo! ;)

Depending on coatings and condition... I'd get one from 50 to 120 bucks.

How would you determine the coatings on the lens

bannedPermanent ban

They normally have T* on the lens, this denotes it has the legendary Zeiss coatings on the elements.

If you can't find this don't bother with it.

What lens mount is it for?

I'd say given it's a Sonnar 85/2.0, it will definitely make a very decent portrait lens. If you haven't done so, take a look at this threadas well, it deals with the less expensive Eastern German siblings of the (West German) lens you are inquiring about.

If it's in Contax/Yashica mount, it might be a lot more expensive than comparable M42 lenses (e.g. Jupiter 9 85/2.0 or CZJ 135/3.5) which can be had in mint condition for the price indicated by Doc Frankenstein. Advantage over the Russian Jupiter 9 (that is still in production and can be bought new for 90$) might be better production quality.

Best regards,
Andy
