Oct 25, 2009 18:04 | #4 rw2 wrote in post #8887145 I like the shot. The sky is a little light for my taste. With that much sky showing I feel it needs to be a bit more dramatic. I used shadows highlights and a bit of burning. Hope you don't mind. Thank you very much for the edit. I don't mind at all. I love seeing what other people envision. I don't know why but when I was editing the photo I kept going back to the light "heavenly look". If you don't mind could you tell me exactly how you achieved the look in your edit? After that I created a new layer and changed the blending mode to overlay and filed with 50% grey. On that layer I selected a soft brush and used a size that would cover the sky area. Decrease the opacity to around 25% and make sure black is the color selected ( black will darken, burn, and white will lighten, dodge). If you're afraid of failure ... you'll never succeed!

I use this because PSE 5 doesn't have a good dodge a burn tool and this gives me more control. Awesome, I'll give it a go. Addicted2EOS wrote in post #8893089 Agreed! Thanks
