Bottom right hand looks like a spot light.

I'm not entirely sure the shadows and the window light go together. Notice how sharp the margins on her shadows are, yet how soft the light in general is?

I smell photoshop.

That might very well be done with Fresnel spots. The very hard edge on the shadow and the quality of light looks like it might be done with continuous Fresnels.

I agree with TMR, Fresnel spots, large cans, far away will give that look.

Old school is making a comeback Matt. :D

You can get some nice Fresnel spots for under $1000 and some of the lower powered ones in the $500-$600 range.

That old Hollywood look is back. I'm going to be adding some Fresnels at some point to create that really hard, high contrast look.

....well, it's funny, 'cuz I looked thru a bunch of his stuff, and what I saw were a lot of shots that if posted up to POTN, would be slammed for blown highlights, lack of detail in the blacks, unflattering shadows and backgrounds that need retouching ! In other words....some pretty good stuff....;)

The first picture I ever remember from my youth that really grabbed me was the cover from Queen's "The Works".
