These are good clean shots , but the girl on the ground could be in danger if the horse decides to pull out of the jump and into the wing especially on a live fence .

Haven't quite got the timing down yet, still usually slightly to early, just means atm I hold down the shutter for 2 shots instead of 1

Looks like you have the timing down to me! I find that if I try and use fast frame rate I do get the shot too early and too late:o Good images.

How do you like the little 7D?

Cant seem to find exif, hence query!
I'm relativly new to taking photos of my wife and friends jumping, so interested in settings to confirm that I am on the right track...
