Sorting in bridge...

I am new to using bridge and have a question....

I took a week long vacation and have my photos on the hard drive in 7 different folders. I have assigned each photo a star rating from 1-5 and added metadata label: vacation

So how do I go about viewing all the 5-star images from the weeks worth of folders?

Well Assuming that your seven folders all live in a parent folder you could do a smart collection with both 5 star and vacation as your filter based on the parent folder.

If you select a folder that contains your images or subfolders thereof you can filter based on the filter panel as I am showing in the attached example. This panel really lets you narrow what you want to look at by simply tagging the options you wish to view. In order to show all that you have filtered on you would have to select "Show Items from Subfolders" from the view menu.
