Here's my oldest granddaughter just finishing her trip down the plastic slide at the school grounds. Unfortunately, her face is a little soft but I thought the effect was neat. C&C welcome.

Good shot. Keep her away from your camera until she settles down...

Interesting question - how much static electricity will a camera withstand?

Thanks for all the nice comments. Actually, the minute she stepped off the slide, her hair went back to normal. I guess she grounded herself or something. :) Yeah, I wouldn't want to test my camera out to see how much static electricity it can take! I imagine the card could be fried fairly easily as well as some of the components.

that's priceless. one for you to blow up on her wedding day, for sure.
from what i've learned, most zaps from static are potentially deadly to most anything electronic. i wouldn't want any coming near me or my camera, but i'm sure the casing would protect it to some extent.

Thanks lotto, bolantej, and marie. Yeah, bolantej, I hope I'm around for her wedding day--it's one of my goals.
