Evening folks. My lip hurts and it looks like I'm going to be working well into the night. :( I hate long days. At least it's at home so I can do some photo processing while on conference calls. :)

I will be bringing my laptop to do some of that while stuck at parent-teacher conferences. No net though unless someone nearby has unprotected wifi.

I"m wondering what do you all do for Thanksgiving holiday are you with family or not ?

We get together with the whole clan of corey's relatives. About 40 some people in one house. We eat lunch, watch tv and socialize, then reheat for supper. Thanksgiving is usually at my MIL's house but she and corey's aunt/uncle that usually have easter switched this year so it's not at her house.

It gets to be a looooooooooong day.

Ahh...nesting. I wasn't able to do that with Ian. Stupid modified bed rest.

Sorry for your honey-do list.

Evan have the piggy flu or just the normal stuff?

PsssssH!!! Nesting my rear....she wants to sell the house now....because she would like to work part time when the new baby is here.

Yeah, honey do list is a pain sometimes.

I think it was the H1N1...Evan got the flu before the "official" flu season began...so the pedi said. Didn't even blood test for it, but it only lasted about 2 or 3 days....but me or wife didn't get it so who knows.

Miniflash wrote in post #8943429 (external link)
Hi Roberto :) Nothing better than a nice fresh paint job let the nesting begin!

Hola Deberto! I was gettin' a little high with the new paint smell

2 sisters - the other's in Wisconsin. And since I'm rapidly approaching retirement myself, yes, they're getting on in years.

Ummm....no, in a smaller house (and payment) it could happen. Too many things she likes to spend money on...not to mention the cable, cell phones, private school and internet which would have to be cut back or cut out. Then there's the taxes and insurance on the house.....we pay those out of pocket since they are not figured in to the mortgage. We put our tax return into a CD for 9 months to get the measly interest then pay the property taxes and insurance when the CD is up.

Sucks..yeah...but not so much as not being able to move into a house that I would enjoy as much as here.
Out here, my sister in law is about 150 to 175 feet away wall to wall....if we were to move into town, many of the neighborhoods we would consider would have houses about 25 to 30 feet apart. I got spoiled....I don't want to move into a neighborhood like that again. Really sucked in our previous house, wife and I would be laying in bed trying to get some sleep and we could hear our neighbors arguing in their house...with the doors closed.
I also like the fact that there is so much wildlife out here and the city lights are not obscuring the stars on a clear night....its great out here at night. *sigh*.....stupid lotto numbers...why couldn't I pick the right ones.

No net though unless someone nearby has unprotected wifi.....

I can't believe how many in my neighborhood have their home networks wide open. Some are password protected, but they are the default passwords. I've helped my immediate neighbors secure their networks, but had to show them how easy it was to log on and poke around their machines before they believed me.

I"m wondering what do you all do for Thanksgiving holiday are you with family or not ?

This year we are haveing a big family bash the weekend before Thanksgiving. It's a combo Thanksgiving and send off for my son as he is off to basic on the 23rd. Anyway, I rented the Lombard log cabin for the event. It's very rustic and fits the family well.
http://www.lombardparks.com/rentals.htm (external link) It's the second pic from the top.
We'll all come together around 9:00~10:00 in the morning and cook, socialize, eat, socialize, eat some more well into the night.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.
