Hale cost us roughly (in spay and shots) $450. That didn't include her original cost OR the *shudders to think about it* surgery.

If I didn't have any dogs now, I'd have want that St. Bernard. She's so cute.

Dan didn't want a large dog (the havoc wrought on the house) but I truly don't think any dog could wreak more havoc AND do it with more energy than Kona.

Now that I have two dogs...something to compare him to, I wonder that we survived his first year. He's so sweet now though. When he's in trouble his first instinct is to go hide under the guest bed. It's so funny watching him go, even when he's not in trouble but thinks he's doing something that will get him there.

I've had to raise my voice to Hale once. Just once. She nearly fainted. Seriously I have to remember which dog I'm correcting because I can't do it the same. Hale's so sensitive and will stop instantly (or come instantly) etc...if she's doing something wrong.

I know...those little big dog feet!...I just love dog feet. Kona's smell like buttered toast.

Zane:

Your dog (avatar) reminds me of an old television puppet from my childhood....Webster Webfoot. Unfortunately, he was a duck, not a dog, but he made me laugh. Your dog makes me laugh.

Ha Ha.

And now, having concluded my impromptu dissertation on the finer points of mashing potatoes, I shall bid you all adieu.

'Night, gang.

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

Better, I suppose, than buttered toast that smells like dogs' feet.

G'night, Lisa.

Some rich family will just have to have it and agree to hire a full time butler for the dog:roll::lol: Either that or some politician will see it as a great image and adopt it with promises of pro dog votes. I need to go west, I have been in D.C. too long.

g'night Chief.

Zeke, I know whatcha mean about the clock. I'm all messed up. Hale tried to go to bed at 8pm too. She just went to the garage door so I opened it and she went out and got in her crate. When I didn't close the crate, she came and scratched on the door to come back in.

Not sure what the terms of use are on the site where I found it.

Lisa, St Bernards are big, but really great dogs. Calmer than Springers.

I miss Cara. *sniff*

Chief, thanks for your dissertation on Mashed Taters. ;) I love taters.

Zane, I went to that rescue's site, and every dog has a different adoption fee. That is weird to me. But $600 for a rescue dog? That is just wrong.
