Hi Kit woof woof woof woof ;) Glad you had a fairly successful day and good visiting.
I just sent an email to this person (external link)who is near Wool and Jenn. It would be a great excuse to go down. Oh and hey, Kit, look at the puppy's name :p

Brother Wolf is right near by....and the pup was a TV star. Let me know what you hear.

New dog, we'll decide on his name tomorrow. He's 1 year old, and related to Scooter and Pokie, our other Japanese Chins, and weighs about 6.5 pounds. He had to get up at 3 AM Missouri time this morning for the drive to the airport, then spent 8.5 hours in airplanes getting here. He's a tired boy.

Congrats on the new pup, quite a handsome boy!

Yeah, I didn't want to take the time to make the people look more real. Or.. OR... Yeah! It was my commentary to the nameless, faceless masses of the big cities.

Ooo... That's good.

That IS good!

We took 8 dogs to HWAC (was supposed to be 9, but at the last minute one couldn't go)
They accepted 6. And the 2 they rejected were 2 of our very best dogs, so that was GOOD. :)

Right now, Obi is sleeping on Lorraine's pillow, wrapped around her head.

Yay on the success and  on the rejections. But glad it all went the way it did!

Morning folks.

Neil, when I got our cat from the shelter they told me that they spay/neuter pups and kittens based on weight. Anything over 3 pounds and they snip, as they want to get them out and adoptable as fast as possible and don't trust that people will bring them back for the proceedure, particularly if there is a fee involved.

Morning everyone!

I've had a long night and am therefore a little bit more fit than in the previous days. I have lots of cleaning to do at home though :-(

She built up a resistance to his caliente.

I'm guessing it should recover. Worst case you may have to take it apart and clean some connections.

 The Chief is caliente.

You know what, I tried it last night.....the iPod turned right on. Nice.

A few recent shots of Jasper
Trying to get shots of him leaping is tough, I need to work on it. The second one here is was OOF, but it still shows his jumping capability. Next time I think I will take the 40D.

Great shots Jim.....Jasper got big.

Then, on Monday, at John's suggestion I visited Galleta Meadows Estate (external link). It's a gihugic, privately owned tract of land southwest of Anza-Borrega state park. There are hundreds of very intricately detailed metal statues scattered across God only knows how many square miles in this valley. Like I said, it's private property, but oddly, the owner(s) leave it completely open to the public. It's a very odd, strange place. Yet, also very intriguing. I spent many, many hours driving and hiking all over the place on Monday, looking for and finding a ton (literally and figuratively) of the statues... I'm sure I've only scratched the surface, though. There are many more to be found there! I will be back!

Cool shots....and interesting statues.

I like the second one. The first one looks like you cropped in too much....in the leaf area.

We are dealing with the remnants of Ida affecting our weather with lots of rain and tomorrow a nor'easter kicking in with more rain and wind.

Saw that on the news this AM.

cfpackerfan wrote in post #9000437 (external link)
Not caught up yet.

Just wanted to drop in and say that is was a LONG day. A great one, but long. :)

We took 8 dogs to HWAC (was supposed to be 9, but at the last minute one couldn't go)
They accepted 6. And the 2 they rejected were 2 of our very best dogs, so that was GOOD.

SO we are now in a hotel room with Luna and Obi.
They rejected Luna because they said she bared her teeth while playing.
And they rejected Obi because his right thigh muscle was bigger than his left one, so that showed that he may favor his left leg for some reason.

Anyway, Obi and Luna were our 2 best that we took, so we are happy that if they were going to reject 2, it is these 2.

Had a WONDERFUL dinner with the Chief and Lois. It was awesome finally getting that Chief hug that I've been needing. And I loved meeting Lois as well. She is a sweetheart.

Then got to visit with John and Heather for a little while. Of course, by this time, Lorraine and I were semi-catatonic, and I'm ashamed to say we weren't very good company.

Right now, Obi is sleeping on Lorraine's pillow, wrapped around her head.

YAY! I think.

neil_r wrote in post #9000837 (external link)
Yep, They are completely loopy at this age, but T is a little pissed. She has fed cleaned and been sole company for 3 weeks, I have been back less than a week and Harley loves me and ignores her. The puppy has taste :-)

The Chief is caliente.

Um....that's Lois' business not ours.

DAN nice TR and super jasper.

Gmae everyone. Parent teacher conferences today. Stressful morning....corey had a fire call just as I was exiting the shower. Big accident that closed down the road I take to work so I had to take back roads. Deviation from AM routine really messes with me.
