I could go on about the qualities of bottled water... :D

Glacier is the best, but expensive.

Quick check-in before we head North... We're headed to Knott's Berry Farm and Disneyland. Knott's has free admission for any one who can give proof of military service and one guest. They do this every November to show their gratitude to veterans. We haven't been to Knott's in ten years, so we decided to go this month.

I could go on about the qualities of bottled water... :D

Have a great time John and Heather.:D

Dasani is purified water, made by coca-cola, I love fiji water but it is pricey. We just got a water dispenser here at work, I'm in heaven!

Have fun John and Heather, sounds like it will be a great time.

I have always been the animal bondee, with the exception of my SIL's cat Frank, who was a meanie to begin with and who I had to hold down and shove meds into cause she couldn't!! When he was a little kitty and my SIL didn't know better she had both her kittens (Frank and Beans) de-clawed when they were spayed/neutered. They need antibiotics after for a couple weeks and Aunt Crissa was the official mouth yanker opener and med shove downer. Frank never forgot that for his entire 16 years on this planet, he eviscerated me with his eyes EVERY single time he ever saw me since, and that was a whole lot!!!

Other than that, even other people's animals usually adopt me when I am visiting!

The septic tank at our business is full so we've had no bathrooms for the last 2 hours. Word is the pumper truck is on it's way. We have 4 businesses in our little industrial area all using the same septic. This is the third time since moving in September that this has happened. BLAH!

So it's true then, you are full of ......... ;-)a

Not caught up yet. :)

Just wanted to drop in and say that is was a LONG day. A great one, but long. :)

We took 8 dogs to HWAC (was supposed to be 9, but at the last minute one couldn't go)
They accepted 6. And the 2 they rejected were 2 of our very best dogs, so that was GOOD. :)

SO we are now in a hotel room with Luna and Obi.
They rejected Luna because they said she bared her teeth while playing.
And they rejected Obi because his right thigh muscle was bigger than his left one, so that showed that he may favor his left leg for some reason.

Anyway, Obi and Luna were our 2 best that we took, so we are happy that if they were going to reject 2, it is these 2.

Had a WONDERFUL dinner with the Chief and Lois. It was awesome finally getting that Chief hug that I've been needing. :) And I loved meeting Lois as well. She is a sweetheart.

Then got to visit with John and Heather for a little while. Of course, by this time, Lorraine and I were semi-catatonic, and I'm ashamed to say we weren't very good company.

Right now, Obi is sleeping on Lorraine's pillow, wrapped around her head.

It was delightful getting together with Cat and Lorraine for dinner. They were a lot of fun to be with, especially after the success of their trip. They were both very pumped about returning with just two dogs. I don't pretend to understand the mechanics of animal rescue, but apparently this was an excellent result.

Cat is exactly how I imagined her---that's good. I believe I've made no secret about the fact the she was one person I absolutely wanted to meet in person someday, and yesterday was the perfect opportunity. I can now check that 'to-do' item off my list of 'Things I Must Do Before I Expire.' Her friend Lorraine is delightful, too, and an extremely interesting person in her own right. I can't imagine the chatter that goes on in that van when they're in road warrior mode.

I was sorry we weren't able to hang around to see Heather and John. Heather is another person I want very much to meet, and John is always entertaining to be around. Unfortunately, the prospects of the 3-hour drive home were too compelling to ignore, so we hit the road as soon as dinner was over. We were both really beat when we finally pulled into the driveway.

Lois thoroughly enjoyed the evening, too, and was very pleased to also meet the woman from Utah I've been talking about so much. I expect we will do this again someday.

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!
