Hi Kit woof woof woof woof ;) Glad you had a fairly successful day and good visiting.
I just sent an email to this person (external link)who is near Wool and Jenn. It would be a great excuse to go down. Oh and hey, Kit, look at the puppy's name :p

Very cute puppy Zane, hope its a possibility for you!

My browser just shut down for no reason, and I lost all of my quotes.

Dan - love the underdog Jasper, the 0044 installment and Permi in NYC

Chris - I really like the all of the Gorge photos.

Cat it was wonderful seeing you again and meeting Lorraine, Obie and Luna. hope you guys have a safet trip home.

FP - hope things go well tomorrow.

Nonsquish alert - John and I are headed North and will not be back until sometime Friday afternoon or evening.

Don't you hate when that happens? Hope you guys have a great trip!

Yep, They are completely loopy at this age, but T is a little pissed. She has fed cleaned and been sole company for 3 weeks, I have been back less than a week and Harley loves me and ignores her. The puppy has taste

LOL, poor T. I feel for her. Same with my kids... daddy is far more fun. ;)

It was delightful getting together with Cat and Lorraine for dinner. They were a lot of fun to be with, especially after the success of their trip. They were both very pumped about returning with just two dogs. I don't pretend to understand the mechanics of animal rescue, but apparently this was an excellent result.

Cat is exactly how I imagined her---that's good. I believe I've made no secret about the fact the she was one person I absolutely wanted to meet in person someday, and yesterday was the perfect opportunity. I can now check that 'to-do' item off my list of 'Things I Must Do Before I Expire.' Her friend Lorraine is delightful, too, and an extremely interesting person in her own right. I can't imagine the chatter that goes on in that van when they're in road warrior mode.

I was sorry we weren't able to hang around to see Heather and John. Heather is another person I want very much to meet, and John is always entertaining to be around. Unfortunately, the prospects of the 3-hour drive home were too compelling to ignore, so we hit the road as soon as dinner was over. We were both really beat when we finally pulled into the driveway.

Lois thoroughly enjoyed the evening, too, and was very pleased to also meet the woman from Utah I've been talking about so much. I expect we will do this again someday.

That sounds like a really nice evening! Glad you got to meet Cat...I have to admit to being slightly envious. Lorraine sounds lovely as well.

Just been at my brother in laws farm, I have another job to add to my list of "Jobs not for me"

Equine Dentist. Whilst I was happy to help, it does not seem to be a bundle of laughs for the dentist or the horse.

HAHA, yeah, floating teeth isn't a ton of fun. Sounds like nails on a chalkboard to me, even though its not the same thing, really. Just gives me shivers.

Afternoon all...I'm happy to report that the senior rep thing worked out very well. Her mom was quite gracious and everything worked out quite well. I wish it could have been handled differently all around, but that's as much my fault as anything.

Now, I've got to figure out how to pack, get bed sheets changed, laundry totally caught up, living room tidied and vacuumed and get to our kids club at church and then choir all in the next 20 hours. Methinks I'll be sleeping on the train tomorrow.

Came in safe and sound late yesterday. Drama on plane before we left the ground = passenger being escorted off, she was sitting right in front of us. Will tell all later but her "belligerent behavior began in WA state before we got on the plane.

As much as I love being in here with you all, weather and company and...and...and... is just too nice for me to even think about catching up during the day. Maybe tonight...or maybe not. *shrugs*

Heading back outside to watch for any vessel from the USCG. :D

Why did you have to fly to WA state?

Have fun and think about us as we freeze :)

Hey, I just got a request via my new website (that really hasn't been activated yet...how weird) for some of those coast guard shots I did last year. From the pilots wife.

That is kind of cool though!! Apparently your SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and keywording works, or something!

The septic tank at our business is full so we've had no bathrooms for the last 2 hours. Word is the pumper truck is on it's way. We have 4 businesses in our little industrial area all using the same septic. This is the third time since moving in September that this has happened. BLAH!

Poop in a trash can and put it near the person in charge of that's office. I bet it gets fixed or you go home fast.

Is Dasani the one that is rumored to be New York City tap water, just "purified"? I have a civil engineer friend that went to NYU and toured some water facility while in school. they told the students it was NYC tap water but I can't remember the water brand now. lol

It is just purified tap water but I think one of the best bottled waters. Spring water is just purified ground water too but usually someone in marketing gives the spring a nice name to sell more. One of my biggest beefs is people that buy French water instead of domestic water thinking it is better. Shipping water across the ocean makes no sense to me.

Oh it's not bad depending how you do it. Our dentist heavily sedates, puts a big metal thing in their mouth to hold it open, and goes at it with a specialized drill with a grinder on the end. Much faster that hand filing and he is good with it. The down side of the job is the side job that goes with it. During sedation horses will usually drop their penis from the sheath and let it hang. Dentists often times offer sheath cleaning as this is the perfect opportunity to do it. To the non horse people, horses do best to have their teeth occasionally "floated" This keeps nice even griding surfaces for efficient eating. Geldings also need a good sheath cleaning occasionally because their junk starts to get crusty, look really scary, and can get infected. In a natural environment it gets cleaned occasionally during mating. Now is that TMI?

The Sheath Cleaning Song
Author Unknown

Sing it to the tune of "Hello Mother, Hello Father" from camp song

How's it hangin'?
So much cleaner.
Aren't you glad I
washed your wiener?

I'll admit it's
kinda creepy
that I had to stick my arm up in your pee-pee.

It was sticky.
It was gunky.
It felt icky.
It smelled funky.

It was cruddy,
it was crusty--
when you stuck it out, it creaked like it was rusty.

After half an
hour of toilin'
and of squirtin'
baby oil in,
you're as fresh there
as a daisy.

Either this means I love you or else I'm crazy!!!

Hmm...I would suggest adding equine proctologist to that list as well.

)That is the easy end.

neil_r wrote in post #9002554 (external link)
That end would be easier to deal with. In a previous existence I was a dab hand at AI, and much to peoples surprise that is the orifice the arm disappears into.

(Is that too much information?)

Nice, to bad Becky is not on, we could get another rousing conversation on cow and horse A.I. going on

Cool, emergency personal love pictures. I tend to give away my shots from fires and wrecks if the fire guys want them.

I'm betting there's a youtube video out there of someone doing that.

One of the fella's here was actually going to put a bag liner in a trash can and put kitty litter into it as a temporary toilet. The boss said NO! I also would have passed.

Here is something to ponder:

Us Americans fuss about paying $2.89 per gallon of regular gas. But we are willing to pay $1.89 for a 16.9 fl oz of water. Now does that really make any sense?

Err.. why the uhh.. rear? and not the... umm other orifice?

and Zane I remember the sheath cleaning song from long ago.

I think I'll climb back into my hole, now ...
