What amazes me is how expensive printer ink is....

It explains why printers are cheap.

I would so OD if I got my hands on a gallon of liquid chocolate. I'd be passed out on the floor vibrating from the sugar overload.

Gotta love reading manuals. I have an electronic version on my PC and during particularly slow meetings of during lunch I'll pop it up and peruse away. Well, I have been having an issue with my 7D and I think I found the solution in the manual today while reading.

My problem is that when I'm in live view and in manual mode, the screen goes black. I really notice this macro shooting as 99% of the light is coming from the flashes. Anyway, today on page 136 buried at the end of the live view section is a little feature to the 7D I suppose. It's called Expo Simulation and what it does is shows the image in live view exactly as it will appear when taken. Well this is not going to work for macros and flash photography because the pic will be very dark.

It also explains when i put the camera in Av or Tv the picture comes back. The camera is compensating for the darkness by changing a setting. This won't happen in manual mode. I love my manual. :)

Wow, I bet that would be annoying for many people though, regarding the liveview

Yea, chocolate is my weak spot. Wave a bar of good chocolate in from of my eyes and I'll be spilling every secret I know. If it's really good chocolate I'll even make up some secrets just so i can spill them. :)

Only if your a manual and flash shooter though. Otherwise it looks fine. That's why I was so perplexed. Funny thing is that i know I had read that paragraph before but never put 2 an 2 together.

But I always use M mode and after last night's debacle about why the flash wasn't working....I'd be a manual and flash shooter....so it would be annoying!!

I think coffee is my only real weak spot...and if it's lousy coffee, I'm totally safe.

I enjoy other things (real fresh baked bread would be #2) but I'm a goner for good fresh coffee.

I'm roasting Kona as we speak. (not the K-dawg).

I always use M too. That would bug me.

The biggest frustration with live view on the nikons is that you have to get your exposure right before you turn it on (it doesn't show proper exposure on the screen). How dumb is that?

Might I say, it amazes me how well Dan has refined the model of his TR characters. He really has them down, now.

That's my random comment of the day.
