The local ABC affiliate...WLOS-13 is very involved in animal welfare. One of the station reporters was big on dog rescue. She was killed in an accident a number of years ago....but there was a huge animal welfare program established in her memory. The Mimi Paige Foundation (external link) supports local rescue efforts...the TV station features pets several times a week. They try to rotate among the local shelters to get the word out about what might be available for adoption.

LOVE watching Pet Pals!!!!

It's a normal Lisa scare tactic for labs. They've been working on it for generations waiting for this moment for you to encounter a lab.

I think it's pretty standard. :D

Cooper does a GREAT hackle and for such a little lab he's got an AWESOME bark!!!!

We are dealing with the remnants of Ida affecting our weather with lots of rain and tomorrow a nor'easter kicking in with more rain and wind.

Landed in Hotlanta in the remnants of Ida last evening. She also caused our connecting flight to be 45 minutes late.

Why did you have to fly to WA state?

The plane we were on had come in from WA. She apparently started some ruckus on that flight. Then got of in Milwaukee to stretch and recharge her computer and MP3 player.

So, she seemed too young to be the mother of the 2 kids that she was traveling with along with a guy we figure is their father. Couldn't conclude if they are married or not but obviously in some kind of relationship. Anyway it started out she asked the younger boy where the computer and MP3 player were. Still in the terminal she threw every thing down in the seat next to my SIL and yelled out the kids name in discuss, tromped back up the aisle to leave plane, which they didn't allow and came stomping back. A flight attendant asked if she could be of help she told her she had asked someone to go get the left behind items.

Then a security guy came up and said, "Ma'am we need to know if you are going to be an issue on this flight. You have already been a concern from Seattle and we need to know if you are going cooperative" Instead of saying yes and being quiet. She continued to slam things into her carry on bag, and try to explain her actions. And then blaming the guy she was with, his mother for them being on the flight in the first place. Again security asked the question, and she just didn't "get it". And they said if not, we will need to escort you off the plane. Unable to shut up, she was escorted off. She of course let them all know this would be all over CNN, that she would be calling her lawyer, then turn to her companion and said "I guess you will just have to find a way for me to get home." And as she was being escorted out again turned and said, "This is all your mother's fault, I hope you are happy!"

When we were waiting to board in Atlanta for our last leg, SIL went to see if we could get seats together as we were all separated and my niece was concerned about this. They were able to accomadate. As we were seating, we noticed the guy traveling with problem lady was in the seat next to SIL's original seat. We might have been able to get the full scoop.;)

And, do you have a cabana boy serving drinks with little umbrellas in them?

No, dang it. :|

PAULA I hate leaving dogs behind. I usually find someone to come take care of them so they can stay home or they go to family member.

CAT good news on your trip, glad you had a lot of success and got to meet with Chief, Lois, John, and Heather.

DAN boarding for routine checks photos coming
