I think Charles Barkley had it right about how Athletes should not be held up as role models.

Firemen, Cops, Teachers, Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, Air Force, Mom & Dad .. Now these are people worthy of admiration. Not a bunch of punks being paid far too much money to play a game.

What's utterly shocking is how far down the "food chain" this borish behavior has permiated. I've spent lots of time around NCAA sports and it gauls me no end to see how bad even Freshmen behave towards fans. You'd think these kids had been in the pros for 10 years the way they blow people off and brush past them. Equally rediculous is how the fans react to these kids. Screaming for autographs from some nobody who probably won't even graduate let alone ever sign a meaningful pro contract. Oh but if he does, you've got his autograph from before he was somebody .. Whoopie!

Latest update from Arizona: Heather got to the hospital this morning to find her dad awake and feeling much better. The nurses have had him up and sitting in a chair at least twice this morning. As far as I know he is still in cardiac intensive care...

I'm off to clean out my closet. I'm trying to convince hubby that its a good idea to move the washer and dryer upstairs...I'm not sure he's sold, but it would make things so VERY much easier for me to get done and put everything away, I think!

Wife and I thouhgt about that also when going through the process of building our current house. We went to so many builders that had models with the laundry upstairs....but of course that is where all the rooms were. We wanted the master downstairs.....guess where the laundry room is.

I've just heard that washers aren't built to be on second floors because the flooring isn't as strong as a first floor.

But, I think it was HGTV so I am most definitely mistaken.

We really wanted ours on the second floor...but the logistics of moving it, well, it didn't happen.

I'm ok with it.

The floor thing is an issue when the washer would be full of water.....but if the floor was doubled up like in the models we saw here for the builders on new homes, it would be okay. That would be more work to do your house given the fact that it is an older home right?
