a non-rant but ungh day

My neuro is unhappy that I'm going to trans-siberian. We talked about "triggers" and I said I can play video games with no ill affects & he reminded me that I did poorly on my last EEG with high flashing light test. He said "I can't believe you are doing this to yourself. Could you not have just bought the dvd or cd?" Then he told me to take extra meds, buy dark glasses and he'd see me next year unless I had ill affects from this concert and we had to "re-think" things. Sigh.

Then I went to costco. They no longer carry snapple diet iced tea (my absolutely favorite) or triscuits. I said to a clerk (after they check to see if they were indeed discontinued) "are some of these things, like seasonal?" And she said in a very measured voice "yes....LIKE....they are" (insert roll eyes here).

At least the dogs are happy. I went looking for their favorite toys (theirs were destroyed) and no one had them. I bought something else and they each have one and are playing contentedly.

Hi everyone! How are you all doing?

As usual, I've been too busy in the last days to stop by :-( But it should be better during the end of the week...

I just wanted to stop by and share with you an old pic that I've just found while browsing my hard drive. It was taken in 2004 with my old 3MP Coolpix ;-)a

I now hope the weather will finally get alittle bit colder and we'll get some snow :o (I wanna go skiing )

my gosh. Just gorgeous.

Thanks Kody. To be honest, I don't really remember. But we made it back safely...

I've been skiing last year on Christmas day. It was so nice that we stayed at the summit to watch the sunset. Skiing back down through the clouds at night was kinda fun :o

Would the flashing lights at the concert trigger a response? I think the light flashing would be a little worse than video games.

Sorry for ungh. I say go to the show and live life. If it throws you for a loop then the rest of your life you can say "remember when we went to TSO and I got all hinky?".

The Triscuits situation I can not LIKE help with.

Lisa, I sure hope my repetitive winking at you with my bright eyes did not have a negative effect. Neurologically speaking, I mean. ;)

When he asked me why, I said "I'm 42 years old. I'm TIRED of not doing stuff just because I have epilepsy". He didn't say anything other than the "wear dark glasses etc" after that.

:lol::lol::lol::lol: That is an excellent point. Who doesn't like to use the word "hinky" at any given opportunity?

Listen to your neuro. For half the price of going to Trans Siberien whoever, you can come to my house, sit outside my window and listen to me mutter at the computer while I'm losing at Scrabble.
