My Kona coffee was delivered today. I made a latte with it and it taste pretty good - completely different taste the the usual coffee I buy.
It's taking some level of will-power not to go and make more coffee...

No. It's been sitting in the closet for over a year now. But, I got some new ideas from a couple guys at work last week. Maybe I'll dig it out of the closet and try again next week while I have a little free time. My name is Lonnie, but I answer to Thomas too.

You say it's different...tell me what it tastes like to you (I'm always interested in how people explain their coffee taste) It's hard to quantify the difference in taste. It somehow tastes richer and smoother.

Velvety is a really nice explanation of Kona. .. It's Permie's world, we just live in it! ~CDS

When I roast Kona, it smells heavenly right out of the roaster. For about 12 hrs. Then the smell gets harsher, much less pleasing...and in 2 or 3 days when it doesn't smell special at all, it's ready to grind/drink. I would expect it differently but it seems that it releases all the gases (like other coffees do) that make it bitter and the lovely smell goes with it. .. what about b&w? ![]() then I thought...now I don't normally do selective color because I don't like it...but... ![]() and then I thought...while the glass in the mirror is a bit dirty, it might look nice as a painting too... ![]() Thanks for posting your thought flow Lisa.
