I think the first entry should be the Permagrin Cocktail.

3 oz. Tequila
1 oz. mixer of your choice.
3 more oz. Tequila.
2 ice cubes
3 more oz. Tequila

Stir..........

Me, too. I suppose my favorite (locally) is Williams Sonoma, followed closely by Bed Bath & Beyond. We also have a local shop called Kitchen Kitchen, and they are really good, but disorganized.

We also have a big manufacturers clearance outlet mall not terribly far from here, and they have a couple stores that are interesting. One in particular is the Le Crousset outlet. This has me really conflicted because I've discovered the joys of cooking cast iron, but can't afford to buy anything.

What I've been doing recently (and I've already mentioned this) is shopping in restaurant supply stores. The things they sell aren't pretty, but they work, and they're quite inexpensive, at least when compared to their consumer counterparts.

Check out Swiss Diamond pots and pans sometime.

I'll stand by Le Crousset. The big wok does superbly with my stir fries (I tend to keep the pan at full heat all the time), the pan's never once been hard to clean.

They're expensive, but very very good.

Hmmm....that one week to completion you claimed, over two weeks ago now, seems to be getting stretched out a wee bit. ;)
You are still on a quicker schedule then I am with my home though. :D

:p:p:p

Not gonna happen. Although, the living room is mostly complete.

Kitchen, not so much.

I like le crousset stuff. I can't afford much.

I wish we had a restaurant store...but, I do like my stuff pretty.

You can cook for me any time. As Heather once put it, I'll eat anything that doesn't eat me first. I love rice and vegetables, fruit not so much...

Bissell SpotBot... (external link) We bought one after we got Buddy and it works great on the small spots. The only problem with it was that we ended up with all these nice clean spots in our otherwise dingy carpet.

Lol. Ok.

And, thanks. I was looking at that one but had the concerns about the clean spots in the whole carpet.

Attention!!

A couple days back, Jenn posted a recipe for potato soup here. I just made it, and we're having it for lunch.

It is brilliantly good!!! If you haven't tried it, you're missing something wonderful. It's quick, easy, and delicious.

The only thing I would have done differently is to garnish with some scallions when serving. I didn't have any, and I don't really miss them.

Yum!

I printed it at school. I will make it when I get the kitchen back.
