Is it cocktail hour already?

I didn't know it only lasted an hour. :(

Anyone know when submissions for book 4 will start? bugster is asking me via email and I don't have an answer for him.

Someone needs to collect all the recipes that have been posted on here for a TPBM Cook (and Drink) Book.

Or even a PDF file we could share. ;) :)

Hopefully not for a long time. I would need to do some shooting and processing first. :p

BTW, congrats to all who were in the last book, it looks absolutely fantastic. :D

There you go, get Pete to send you his Chocolate Chili recipe, and others to send theirs in. You can then compile them all and send it out to the rest of us. What a great guy you are for offering. :D

CHILLI CHOCOLATE
(Serves 4, or 2 Petes)
Ingredients

2 tbsp olive oil
1kg/2lb 2oz beef mince
2 onions, finely diced
2 cloves garlic, finely diced
1 stick celery, finely diced
2 chillies, finely diced
1 bay leaf
1 tbsp ground cumin
1 tbsp ground coriander
1 tbsp dried oregano
1 tbsp paprika
2 tsp cayenne
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground black pepper
1 tbsp tomato purée
400g/14oz tinned tomatoes
250ml/9fl oz beef stock
25g/1oz dark chocolate, finely chopped
400g/14oz tinned red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
small bunch coriander leaves, roughly chopped
To serve
basmati rice
Method

1. Heat a large pan until hot then add the olive oil and beef mince. Fry until browned, then remove from the pan and set aside.
2. Add the onions, garlic, celery and chillies and sweat for 5-6 minutes until golden.
3. Add all the spices and fry for one minute.
4. Return the beef to the pan and stir to combine.
5. Add the tomato purée, tinned tomatoes and stock and bring to the boil.
6. Reduce the heat and simmer for 1-1½ hours until very tender.
7. Add the chocolate and kidney beans and simmer for a further five minutes until hot through.
8. Check the seasoning before adding the coriander leaves and serving.

RE:Recipes

Why don't we do a thread on the get together forum or something...that way the recipes can all be on one thread and not mixed in with the chatter.
