Was in the camera shop getting a great lesson on the 7D and all of the benefits it has towards sports foto's.

The salesman (who had none in stock for sale and he knew I was leaving with a 50D) specially showed me a flash feature where you can use not the on camera flash and a slave. He was not a sports guy himself, but entertained my brainstorm.

Any thoughts on this? Has anyone tried this? Love to hear pro's -- con's.

Set up your camera as normal, with the flash mounted 1-2 feet below the lens and also use of the on camera flash.

My one concern was long range shots, but the lower slave would act as normal.

also, cross pots at another forum: See more talk about the 7d
