I haven't had any luck with birds the last few weeks (they all disappeared :() but I did finally got a closer shot with my 7D. This is straight out of the camera, no PP with a slight crop.

Nice shot Brad, looks like a good little poser to me. Pretty bird and nice BG too! I might crop that blurred section at the bottom if it were mine. Well done!

Beautiful image, Brad. I am fairly ignorant about birds that are not local to the DFW area -- what is it?

I also got a 7D about three weeks ago and I am really enjoying it.

BTW, I noticed that the 7D panic and bashing threads have begun on the EOS Digital SLR forum. After reading through some of the nonsense there, I decided that it was time to get back to the sanity of the Bird forum.
