Hellow to eveyone! never been there for ages, but actually was visiting compact section, using IXUS v3 and finally yesterday changed to G6 and very happy about that.
But .... I started to hate Microsoft ))) never had problems with v3 softwar, but here, on Canon Solution Disk, there is e special Troubleshooting section with different files and explanantions.
I I was unlucky - trying to install software I have got that message: " 1607 Unable to install InstallShield Scripting Runtime .... and some numbers follow.
So I did everything possible that Troubleshooting guide offered me to do:
Re-Install the Windows Installer Service
Re-install ISScript
Modify the access privileges for the registry
Initialize the Window Installer Service
Nothing helps (I am using Windows 2000)
So, the easiest solution to by PMCIA adapter, but, I just wondering, am I doing something wrong? Why software of that excellent camera does not want to run on my computer?
Any thoughts?

For a while, what I do: remove memory card from G6 - put it in v3 and download pictures to a computer. Pretty weird way isn't it? ))
