It's a Ferruginous Hawk, America's largest hawk, and is often confused with an Eagle. It's sound is deafening and scary.

Sorry for the delay. Taken with 200 2.8 and 1.4 (280mm) settings f8, 1/800 @f8 (the exif is intact for add'l info). It's a Ferruginous Hawk

That's nuts [eagle shot above]. What lens / settings / etc is that? Look at the star refraction in the eye. And the blood on the beak. Nice work.
