The City of Coral Gables, Fl. has a number of stone arches that lead into the city from all around it's perimeter, and some within it. This is a macro of one of the plants growing nearby.

Taken with the Canon 18-200, which has surprisingly decent close-up ability.

So far these are the sharpest ones I have taken with the 70-200. Not sure if it the sharpest it will give, but the best I have managed. I am just starting out in this hobby and figuring it out as I go.

It means an image is considered worthy of the annual POTN Book where images are judged and then voted on by POTN users.

The latest project has been delayed but there's still slow progress being made. Don't know if there will be a 2012 version though.
