Tripod + head is 3.8lbs. Very tempting. I wonder if I can mount my Manfrotto 488RC2 ball head on this. Only thing missing is the horizonal bar feature on my 190xprob.

A local Best Buy has an open box of the 530 for $120. The one thing I didn't care much was the leg-spread adjustment. First, you have to pull the locking knob up, then spread the leg all the way out first before you can get it to the middle spread position. On the field, that can get annoying when you don't have much room to swing an extended leg all the way out and all you wanted was to spread it to the middle position.
