I had a fixed aperture, and 400 ISO, so I knew I was getting not-so-fast shutter speeds ( as oppossed to shooting at ISO 800); from previous experience I knew that 1/500 or so, gives you blurry bats & balls...it was a side effect, but an expected one, if you know what I mean.
