canon must be growing the trees to make the boxes to put the lenses in. I have had one of these on order for almost three months! Looking at some past threads this has not been uncommon for new introductions and when there is a rumor of a lens being discontinued. things are tough all over, no doubt. The supply of these seems to be a trickle, at least to the supplier I have chosen.
Anyone else having trouble getting one of these great lenses?

Thats what I would have expected.
My source is usually pretty good and I get a discount with them, so I will hang in there especially since this is a spare lens bought because of the great price I was offered. Too bad I am earning the difference in price by checking my order status weekly and calling them monthly.
