Nah, seriously, that's about what I'd come up with on yesterdays shots. I didn't process any of them yet, just the one with the flash. I'd do just about the same as you did, only I'd do an auto color balance and maybe a slight brightness boost. Funny thing is it does only take about 10 seconds to do it in PSP.
In any regard, the shots from yesterday came out way better than previous days, so there's a better image to work with than what I was getting. The only thing I didn't do was shoot RAW. Not because I didn't want to, I didn't shoot RAW because I forgot to set the camera to RAW. Otherwise I would have done it. I didn't even think about it, I was too busy screwing around with other things and totally forgot about it. But, I'm a lot happier with the shots from yesterday than I am with previous shots. Normally I don't use curves, doesn't usually do what I want. But, I never tried single channels in curves, now I have something new to play with and learn.
