Here is one of the BTS shots I did from tonight. I haven't begun to edit the real shots but I just love this photo. 3 Canon 430EXii's fired bare in umbrellas triggered by the cowboy studios triggers (Yay Amazon lol).

Hi,
the Buell was made with a speedlite and four Pictures.
The Smart Brabus was made with a speedlite and nine Pictures.
I hope you like the pictures.
It was the first time to make a photo which was built from more than one picture.

Wolfgang

No disrespect intended. I like the original too (as I mentioned). The OP mentioned a couple pages back he was trying to lighten up on the blue and grey in his shot. Since he had "image editing ok" I was just messing around to see if I could get what he may have had in mind.

its ok. im sure you are new to photography and that is something that we've probably all encountered when first learning photography and editing. I look back at some of my old pictures too and am shocked to think I use to have horribly over processed my photos with bad taste, such as your photo, as well.

There are no rules for a good photograph and there are no excuses for a bad one.

Here is my first real attempt at using an off camera flash on a car. For this picture I used 3 photos blended together, a 580 with a bounce umbrella.

You will need to use layers, and layer masks........and I am almost positive they didn't add that feature till PSE 9.

Thanks Johnny, I used adobe cs5 to blend them. I opened the three pictures at the same time, dragged the second picture over the first and chose the second picture to "lighten" and the second picture then only showed where the flash was. I then did the same for the third photo by dragging it on top of the blend of photos one & two. I'm not good at explaining but this should get you on the right track if you decide to use adobe

Try a search for HDR processing, its a very similar process once you get to the Photoshop steps.

My question is how the hell do you strobe a black car without flash reflections all over the car ? Is it the umbrella and indirect light that is the key ?

Quattro I am not professional so I may be wrong, but I suggest cloning tool or autoheal brush on photoshop. I used the healing tool on the front bump of the cobra to get rid of the relections from the flash.

I use indirect lighting. Many people told me, don't light the car, light the surroundings. A white wall/ceiling works wonders, but am trying a LARGE PLM this time around to see if I can get similar results..

Nice work on both of these! Think about toning down the floor in the 2nd one.
