Nice shots

You were able to turn a pile of leftover frozen winter slop into a nice background. Well done mate.

I am trying to really get out now and shoot as much as possible now that I finally have a nice setup. This damn cold weather and limited time before sundown is cramping my practice and learning time. lol Bare with me as I get the hang out of this and develop a style;)

This is such a key thread for all that want to learn how to light vehicles I want it to keep going so here is my shot from the other day. I know I am on a over processing kick right now. lol

Thats a great shot and I dont mind the warm splash of light on the side. Thats a touch many will either love or hate. I think the only thing about the car is that the passanger side of the front is not lit as well as the driver side. If it was lit evenly it would look perfect.

Thanks for the feedback much appreciated! Yeah I need to work on a few things the cold and short amount of time to shoot really puts a cramp on things;(

I like the processing on that, but if I'm honest I can't stand the fake sun flare, because it makes no sense to the photo, there is no warmth to the colours, and there is no sign of one there to begin with..

I don't mind sun flares being enhanced in photoshop if there is one there or at least a sunny looking sky, but when they're added so randomly it just does nothing for me.

Otherwise, great setup shot and nice processing on all other areas.

Thanks for the feedback SMR I really appreciate it!

I completely feel you 100% I only like to add a sun flare where it makes sense according to the light in the image. Just this time I had gotten a flare from the b800 and liked it at first cause it was in camera flare but then I didn't like it all of a sudden. When I changed my mind I was too far into the edit so I added that flare on top. Lol

It would have been better had the added flare not been warmed up. there are no warm reflections on the car.

Shot this tonight as a test. I got into photography for automotive shots and well...never shot any. I got sidetracked with event and landscape shooting. I decided to change that.
