The automotive strobist setup pic thread

Lighting looks good, but the angles are killing me. Thanks for contributing!

This was shot with a single SB700 in a 43" Apollo Orb. 10 exposures combined in Photoshop.

This was my first time using the Lighten layer blend mode and it made life so much easier. In the past I had only masked layers manually. This shot took 1-2 hours in Photoshop vs the usual 5-6 hours!

Good job on this & the one in post #3366 a few weeks ago. But it shouldn't take 2-6 hours to mask those. Try this next time: Selecting areas in PS. ***UDATED***

Thanks, it's a '78 XS650 Special that I restored in 2010. Lots of upgrades on it. It's a very fun bike to cruise around on.

Two light set up, mid day shoot - 3.5 @ 2500th using the ranger power

For the first time ever I remembered to take a setup shot!

3x Canon 600EX-RT, manual, full power. I didn't Photoshop the street light and bridge lights. We were waiting for them to come on, which they did by the time the pic was taken.

Here's my first try using some of the techniques I read here. Keep 'em coming!

Setup: 2x ProFoto B1 500 AirTTL, 1 w/Profoto Zoom (side), 1 w/Profoto Magnum (rear), TTL mode, Canon 5Dmk3, 24-105 lens.

Great shots. Can't wait to see some strobist shots with the P1 and LaFerrari!
