These were taken ages ago but only got round to having a proper look just now. They have just had a quick mess about on iPhoto otherwise no other PP'ing.

They were all taken with an 18/55mm lens which is a shame but I have now upgraded this to a 250mm.

A very nicely prepared Golf

too high of shutter speed, try lowering it to 1/160 or 1/200

Equipment: Canon PowerShot A650IS (semi retired) and Canon Powershot G10 (primary) and Rebel XT 350D w/18-55mm kit lens and Quanterey 18-200mm-- www.youtube.com/alexander1485 (external link) (has links to some of my pictures on the main page)

Does that still count when I use the 250mm lens?

Lens size has no effect on shutter speed except that camera shake will be more noticable with longer focal lengths, so a faster shutter speed is required to reduce that.

That only really applies if you're trying to hold the lens still. If you ever try and hold the lens still while photographing a moving car you're doing it wrong.

Yep, good point but it is still possible to get camera shake when panning...I've got plenty of those shots myself!!
