Which UV/Protective filters do you guys use for your Canon 10-22 (77mm)?

I am thinking about getting the B+W 77mm UV/Haze *SLIM* MRC filter, since I'm afraid of vignetting at the 10mm focal range. However, I won't be able to use my lens cap with this, which I don't like.

Do any of you guys use the *NON-SLIM* version of the B+W UV filter? Any vignetting? Or should I consider any other brands? I don't want to diminish image quality so I'd be willing to spend on my filter. Right now, I've got an el-cheapo Tiffen on it just to protect it since I've had it out on some rainy days or in dusty outdoor conditions, but want to get something decent on there soon.

Thanks.

I've used a non-slim Hoya and not had any vignetting issues. If you try to stack--I'll shoot IR sometimes, so will occasionally combine a 720nm filter with a CPL--then yeah, vignetting is pretty severe, particularly at the wider end. But I don't know why anyone would do that under normal circumstances.

Thanks for the response. I have a Hoya CPL that vignettes ever so slightly at 10mm, but I am assuming that's just because of the thickness associated with having a rotating CPL. So I think you're right and probably would have no vignetting with a standard UV/Protective filter.
