I agree with Crissa on this.the bear is OOF, and the pup seems a tad flat....you might try cropping the pup photo to get him out of dead center as well? you're a great friend, but if Zombies chase us, I am tripping you.

Just a tip - if you are serious about getting feedback, you should put something more descriptive in your title. "Random Shots" doesn't make it sound like you are too serious about getting feedback and doesn't attract a lot of attention. Just a suggestion. Thank for that tip.. I will be more descriptive next time ShutteringFocus wrote in post #8923444 The bear shot is nice and close up! It would have been better if you had waited for the bear to look up so you could see its face. The bear flustered me for a sec.. as the all of sudden he started to charge my way.. me forgetting that there is glass between us... oh well .. ShutteringFocus wrote in post #8923444 The puppy shot is really super. The only thing on that one I would say is watch your backgrounds. The puppy has a strong vertical line coming out of its head (from the door trim). Try to watch hard lines or stark contrasts in the background, especially if they cut though your subject's head. They distract. It would have maybe been better to move to your right just a bit so that the whole background becomes the blue siding. Still horizontal lines, but at least they are all uniform and they are pretty well out of focus. Otherwise great shot, and cute puppy! You even have some catch-lights going on! Thanks for the suggestion that I will be looking out for from now on... Those two pictures were taken with my 50D and the kit lens 28-135mm Rick - Gear List
