Shot of the Civic

This was taken at MIR's (Maryland International Raceway) Imports vs. Domestics 2008 event. This is a 1994 turbo Honda Civic Coupe. Made roughly 430whp on a 57trim turbo. Had minor motor work done, rods, positions and head gasket.

Car went a 11.51 at 124mph that day on it's first pass. Second pass snapped the axle out of the hole so that was it for the day. Street car, never saw a garage or trailer.

Since then the car has blown up. With minor work racing a Porsche down 95, spike in boost killed her. Porsche couldn't keep up till that happened .

Sadly, if you're going to play, you'll eventually have to pay. That looks like it was a fun sleeper. Is he rebuilding it?

430whp and how much torque? HP numbers are irrelevant, those are great for male enhancement measuring. I love seeing people build up Hondas, just curious on the torque numbers.

No. He sold most of the stuff he could, rims, shell, turbo and anything else good. He bought an Excursion. A local shop here though wants him to race for them so we'll see what happens.

Maybe I will shoot more Hondas.

As far as torque, on race gas it made close to 350 on pump gas close to 280.

too bad about the blowing up part. amount of HP and Trq doesnt really matter, its all about power to weight ratio if you think about it.

so is he going to race the excursion? cause thats fun.

I doubt he will. I mean we mess with trucks and stuff every now and then, but face it, the Excursion is a damn land yacht haha.

We usually just help trailer his friends EVO to the track. 10's on pump gas, I can't complain. Hopefully will get some pictures of that this year.

He'll most likely do another Honda if he races again, K series this time though.

theres a group of guys out here that run f-350 desiels that are running in the mid 11s. its a crazy ride when your going that fast in a lifted truck. good ol propane injection.

I should be able to get some footage. I have 3 clips of it running at the local 1/8th mile track, the audio is off a bit, for some reason the video encoder messed up. This was before he did more work to it, but you can get a feel.
