Yeah, it's called a power-ollie. He puts his tail on the ledge like he's gonna drop in, only he ollies off..... stuff's crazy to actually watch!

Canon 5D for all
1: 17-40mm L + 580exII via st-e2 camera right, bare
2: 17-40mm L + 580exII via st-e2..... pretty much directly above me, a little bit to the right, bare
3: 17-40mm L + 580exII via st-e2 camera right, 430exII behind subject camera left, both bare
4: 17-40mm L + 580exII via st-e2 high camera right bare
5: 50mm f1.4 + 580exII via st-e2 thru 30in umbrella, camera left i believe

Thanks man, I never really thought about using an umbrella for skating photos up until i busted out my 50mm and I was like.... HEY! THIS COULD WORK!

Oh, and the umbrella was high, about ten feet in front of the camera, 90* to the subjects right side!

practice practice practice. on 1 im guessing he's popping off the roof. time it when he starts to lift up to pop off instead of when he's in the air.
