Hi Cruso,

Wow... that bird is amazing to me. Do you know what kind of eagle? Looks a lot like our Cooper's hawk but with a crest!?

The shot is a bit dark, and somewhat soft... but I think it could be improved with a pp.

Welcome! I agree with Kenn that some post-processing might help the shot, but it's a great bird!

Hi i dont know what eagle it is. i only know it was an eagle because the guide said it was. I would of liked to have done some pp but i dont know what i am doing yet i am a newbe and trying to take it all in

Cool shot. Good job for first go. Use the DPP software that should have come with your 40D and you will be able to do a lot for this shot. Just play around with it, You'll get the hang of it.
Thanks for showing a bird I have never seen.

Looks like a Crested Hawk-eagle or Changeable Hawk-eagle (Nisaetus cirrhatus) according to Wikipedia.

thanks . it was geting late at night and the weather was not good it was geting a heat haze and i did not think we was going to see any thing then up pops a couple of nice birds
