no i can actuly focus useing the bright viewfinder .

an ubeleivable day cloudy ,drizzle, rain but i new this was perfect condition to shoot some garden birds. so i done a make shift hide from a fishing brolly and a comfy chair .

im very pleased with this shot as ive always tryed to get feather detail on the gold finch they seem to be quit fine compaired to a dunnock.

blue tit even with a af lens these dont hang around for long before going in to get a seed. but mf on the d300 with its bright view finder is so much better that the 40d .

wren are so quick i must have realed of about 20 shots trying to keep up with it moving in and out of the branches looking for spiders . a very pleasing site as i dont get that many in my garden. and a 1st for me with this et up.
